Hello and welcome to Designs by H-L. I started the company in September 2002 with 11 nature inspired patterns. There have been many additions since then including some that are not in the nature theme.

The patterns are machine appliqué and were made using fusible web.

The business end of things seem to take up more and more of my time, but I hope to be able to produce 4 new patterns a year. If you would like to receive a quarterly newsletter please sign up below.

For those of you who are members of the Canadian Quilt Association, watch for the Fall issue. I will be the feature designer for the ‘Canadian Designers’ segment of the CQA magazine. The article includes a free ‘Sunflower’ pattern.
